wrinkle therapy
How do wrinkles form and what can you do about them?
The facial muscles are mostly very superficial under the skin. They create facial expressions, which are also responsible for the wrinkle pattern. Some wrinkles are only visible with a corresponding facial expression (e.g. laughter lines), others characterize the facial expression permanently and can be annoying (e.g. “crow’s feet”, forehead wrinkles, “frown lines” etc.).
In most cases, wrinkles are caused by the slackening of facial muscles in old age and the loss of hyaluronic acid. When this process begins also depends on the individual predisposition, as well as other factors such as UV exposure and nicotine consumption.
We offer you a coherent concept to get rid of the annoying companions, which we present below.
“look more beautiful!”
wrinkle therapy
Botulinum toxin A injection
Botulinum toxin A (trade names Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®) is a drug that inhibits the transmission of impulses to the muscle.
Depending on the dosage, the affected muscle is weakened or calmed down, whereby the nerve functions of the skin (touch, feel) over the muscle are not disturbed.
After a few months, the active substance is broken down by the body and the effect wears off again.
During treatment, the drug is injected into the affected areas of the face or neck using a very fine needle.
The resulting pain can be compared to that of a mosquito bite.
Wrinkle and tissue injections
Wrinkles caused by tissue loss can be corrected with so-called “tissue fillers”. These usually consist of a mixture of
natural material (hyaluronic acid, collagen) and artificial materials (microencapsulated plastic beads).
In this procedure, the tissue filler is injected into the relevant layer of skin in which tissue needs to be “replenished”.
The treatment is almost painless.
